Want to start your own choir?
Sing Space Musical Theatre choirs are seeking dynamic individuals with a good knowledge of the voice, a love of show tunes and the ability to inspire a large room of adult singers to launch a Musical Theatre Choir in your own local area.
With 26 choirs across the country in their first year, Sing Space already provides a high quality Musical Theatre community to over 1600 singers. Their ambassadors include Kerry Ellis, Alice Fearn, West End Best Friend, Cassidy Janson, Karis Anderson and Gina Beck and they perform regularly in the West End as well as having supported Gareth Malone, OBE, on over twenty five dates on his no.1 tour.
Traditionally Sing Space choirs are vocal coach led, meaning that they also include a syllabus of vocal technique along with original arrangements in 2-5 part harmony. As well as offering technique and exciting performance opportunities, their focus is on building community, friendships, confidence and optimising the mental and physical health benefits of singing (plus the joy of show tunes!)
Choir leaders do not need to be an advance accompanist (although that is a bonus!) as all backing tracks, arrangements, and in-depth online practise/vocal guide video resources are provided, along with the software, marketing support and the structure for the term. You do need to be a passionate, and open hearted leader with a joy in inspiring singing in very large groups.
Sing Space are looking to work in long term partnership with new leaders to help you launch, market and grow a choir in your local area with training commencing April reading to open in September 2024. You will become part of a supportive network of Sing Space choir leaders.
